Project 365: Day # 369- Sunday, April 15, 2012 "The Beginning of the End"
I was really glad that Dona and Carney were able to take the idea of doing a blog once a week into consideration. In other words it's better late than never because we pretty much had a huge debate about it a couple months past. But it's great to put that into the equation since most of us are stressing over AP exams and finals. I also think that this gives me much more time to study and it makes it easier to actually write a blog on an interesting week rather than every day that doesn't hold an extraordinary purpose. I actually did a lot this week. But it's soon going to come to an end. I have about 24 school days left in my senior year and it's really going by rapidly. It's like I pretty much knew that this day would come but I never knew that this day would come so quickly. It's like only yesterday I was only a freshmen. I came a long way in my high school career and I know for a fact that I did whatever I could to show that my hard work was applied to something great and that it never went to waste. This is truly the beginning of the end and my official countdown starts now. I already know I'm going to miss New Town and the people there as well. I can still remember my parents telling me the "bad news" that I would attend New Town High School, and I was very unhappy. I was definitely at fault with this because I was the one who anticipated it being a bad school school based on what I've heard about it during my middle school years. But once I got there, I saw that those superfluous rumors were clearly false. But being there and getting involved in numerous activities made me see the light of that. Therefore, being rejected from Baltimore School for the Arts (BSA) was basically a "blessing in disguise" (as my mom would refer to it as); meaning that things happen for a reason but the outcomes are not necessarily negative. At BSA, if I had gotten in, I would have to soley work on music and music only. I wouldn't have time to play soccer, draw, or anything else. But I actually realize that when I see how well my talents developed over the course of my high school career. I'm ready to take the leap into the next phase of continuing education at Hofstra University and I know that teh work that I did over the years truly paid off.

Project 365: Day # 354- Saturday, March 31, 2012 "Nothing Special"
Today Saturday, March 31, 2012, it felt like a regular Saturday morning. I swear I could never oversleep on the weekends. I really don't know why that is but I always happen to just naturally wake up at around seven or something in the morning. But then again, it doesn't really surprise me considering the fact that I'm very well used to it during the school week. But this day was nothing special. It just felt like a regular Saturday with nothing really to do except study. Yeah I know I'm a nerd but hey what would the world be like without them?

Project 365: Day # 338 -Thursday, March 15, 2012 "Let the AVID Hunger Games Begin!"
Wow! I seriously can not remember the very last time I posted a blog up. Actually based on my history of blogs, I haven't blogged since February 14, 2012. I find it very rediculous that I haven't been blogging lately. I completely accept full responsibility for it. But the distractions behind it would consist of the reiping that we usually have during every class. We have been working on a myriad of activities and assignments that we forgot about the reiping for blogs. But what I found more interesting is that when I keep my blogs up to date, we either forget to have a reiping or when we do actually have one, I never get picked. But when Ihaven't done a blog, then if e do end up having a reiping. But I'm not too stressed out about it becuase I know for a fact that I'm not the only one who hasn't blogged in a month and three days. But after seeing some of the blogs of my peers, it gave me motivation to get back on to blogging and to making it a crucial habit, especially when more great news starts to come rolling in. But anyway back to the topic. Today, we began the first annual AVID Hunger Games. In assimilation to the actual novel, we had our very own reiping on who becomes a tribute or a sponsor for that tribute. We selected four tributes from the house of Themis, and three from the houses of Atlas, Hyperion, and Prometheus. I, and two other members of my house were chosen to be tributes during the games. The games begin next week but we're not sure what they have in store for us.

Project 365: Day # 153 - Saturday, February 11, 2012 "Take 2"
Well today's the day that I take the ACT once again. I felt as if it was somewhat easier than the first time I took it. I took my parents' as well as my tutor's advice which was to try to answer every question but at the same time, to make sure that I take my time and not let time get the very best of me. I really hope that I have improved this time. It also felt shorter compared to the SAT. Even though both tests are somewhat the same duration, I think that the SAT feels longer because of its 10 sections where as the ACT has four plus the writing.

Project 365: Day # 152 - Friday, February 9, 2012 "A lot going on"
I have a lot going on today. Yesterday we were given an interesting project in AVID where we were put into pairs in assimilation to the "Hunger Games". Our job as pairs to support each other in every way we can in order to really get to the bottom as to why we're struggling in our daunting AP classes and in other classes that we might be having trouble with. And today was the day before my retaking of the ACT. But this time I feel more confident about it since my tutor gave me a great pep talk.

Project 365: Day # 137 - Wednesday, January 25, 2012
I was working on a huge drawing for AVID and since we were reading the Hunger Games, it gave me a chance to create something that truly represented the book. We were given this project where we create a Facebook page for the character that we were assigned and since I was assigned the stylist, it gave me a chance to be creative and come up with a drawing for the book.
Project 365: Day # 136 - Tuesday, January 24, 2012
Today was the start of the new semester and it's really interesting even though only one class changed which was my first period. I went from Economics & Public Issues (EPI) to now health. The class is some what small and it's a good amount of people from my EPI class last semester with two juniors. I feel more confident about this semester than the first one because I feel more organized as far as all of my classes as well making sure that I create a time table or a manageable schedule for scholarships, special events, etc.
