Project 365: Day # 42 - Thursday, October 16, 2011 "Another Amazing Idea"

Once again I've yet came up with another great idea. I came up with another composition for my music book. I came up with composing a remix or a sample based off of a classical piece. So I'm basically combining this piece with a hip hop song by Jay-Z featuring Kanye West called "Paris". I was listening to the radio 'WBJC Classical Music Station' to be exact and they played one of my favorite pieces. It was "Rasomunde" by Franz Schubert. This selection was also featured in the YouTube Symphony Concert in Sydney, Australia in March of 2011 with Michael T. Thomas as the lead director. I've taken the idea of classical meets hiphop by playing along with classical music and then adding my own flavor to it to make it have some kind of a hip hop rhythm to it. But when I experimented with these two songs, I was so amazed that I had to write this down in my music book. I'm still currently composing the song but it sounds devine. It's something that took a good amount of time to play through it and to make sure that each note is correct and has syncopation with the others within the two songs. I love doing this especially whan I have the ability to listen to a song a couple times and then firgure out and write the notes down.

Project 365: Day # 41 - Friday, October 15, 2011 "The Audition"

Today's the day. I am pumped for my audition for the Baltimore County Honors Orchestra. My audition was set to be taken place at Dumbarton Middle school on Saturday at 10:30 am. I was definitely ready for this audition because I created a plethora of practice sessions either with Mrs. Harris or by myself. Either way I was ready for it. My two audition pieces were very well prepared and ready to be performed. I was auditioning on the violin. Even though I was skeptical and concerned that the violin was going to be extremely competitive, that thought never detered me from doing what I had to do. When I arrived at the school, I there were so many students who were also auditioning. I walked around since I had ample time to practice before I auditioned to listen to some of the students. I can tell that they've been working just as hard as I had for this day. I saw a variety of instruments that I rarely see anymore. From the viola to the bassoon, it felt amazing just being in the presence of talented musicians such as these. When they called me down to one of the classrooms, I was excited but nervous. But I didn't have to worry because I knew I was going to get in. I was able to memorize both of the audition pieces before I went into the classroom which I thouhght was amazing. It's like who memorizes an audition piece and to be able to play it straight through? I even think that that's pretty darn amazing!

Project 365: Day # 55 - Saturday, October 29, 2011 "Snow already!?"

I really thouhght they were joking about it snowing on Saturday. Some said it wasn't going to be no more than an inch and then there were people who I heard say that there going to be an estimate of 2-5 inches of snow. But I soon  found out early Saturday morning when my excited sister, who's filled with great felicity jumped up and down on my bed forcing me to wake up because of what was happening outside. I was pretty surprised that everyone was right about the snow. This was just noly going to make my symptoms that I obtained yesterday feel much worse. With the temperature hitting the low 40's, it was crucial that I stayed indoors during this mini snow storm. But then I ask myself this question, could this be the beginning of a superfluous winter just like the one during the winter of 2010?

Project 365: Day # 52 - Wednesday, October 26, 2011 "D4S day and Navy Band Concert"

Today was the day I've been waiting for a long time. The Navy Band is here once again and I was able to attend my last concert as a senior here at New Town. This was a special treat to the performing arts program at the school. They played new songs that were pretty cool as well as some old time favorites such as the Washington Post which was played traditionally by the Band. I was in awe based on how many people  could produce such a sound. The instruments that were used had an amazing sound and I could tell that it went very well to the selections thatw ere performed. Their theme was Halloween based and the songs that they played were definitely ones that I've heard before. The concert was awesome and I can say for myself that it was truly worth going to. I'm just really glad that they made it really special considering the fact that it was my last Navy Concert for a while.

Project 365: Day # 51 - Tuesday, October 25, 2011 "Economics Project Part 1"

Today in EPI, we were notified that our first project was coming up and we had to be ready for it. Our assignment was to first find an entrepreneur that relates to what our career is destant to be. The career I would like to pursue was to be a music director of a symphony and/or an orchestra. And based on that career, the person I chosed for my project was musical genius and current director of the San Francisco Symphony, Michael Tilson Thomas. I selected this person for many reasons. Some would consist of what he's doing with music as far as creating a collaborative orchestra such as the YouTube Symphony Orchestra where over 100 musicians from 33 countries meet in one popular city somewhere in the world and perform live on YouTube as well as participate in a myriad of workshops and sectionals. He's been a true inspiration when it comes to classical music. He's been one of the celebrities that I look up to  and is one that shares a common interest which is classical music and being able to perform it and conduct it as well.

Project 365: Day # 50 - Monday, October 24, 2011 "A boring Monday"

This particular Monday wasn't really my most enthusiastic. I was more of a nonchalant kind of Monday for me. There was nothing really going on. Just same old same old. But even though this day had absolutely no meaning behind it,it never stopped me from being productive and to remain focused on what I really need to make sure that I accomplish. I really hate Mondays. I consider them the bane of my existance; the one day of the week where there's no meaning and that everything is just mundane. But I have to make the best of it instead of complaining. This is a skill where I need to accept things more and to jsut deal with it and make something good out of the situation. A prime example would be that I completed everything and it was very productive.

Project 365: Day # 49- Sunday, October 23, 2011 "Bye Week = No Stress"

Yes! This week the Ravens have a bye week where they don't have a Sunday game this week which means that this day is less stressful than it would be in relation to other days where things were out of control. But I was very happy that the Ravens didn't have game today because this meant for me that there were no distractions that would take 2-3 hours as in a football game that entices you to watch it from beginning to the end through it's entirety. Because there was no game on, I had absolutely no distractions while getting my things ready for school and organized ready to go. This was also a good time to complete all my homework early enough that way I wasn't up until 10:30 p.m..

Project 365: Day # 48 - Saturday, October 22, 2011 "It's Academic!"

I woke up at exactly 4:30 a.m. I seriously couldn't sleep last night. I was too excited and nervous at the same time. Although I was all ready to go and to compete, I also had some doubts about what kind of questions theywere going to ask us and who our competition looked like. And from that point I couldn't go back to sleep. This wasn't too bad of a concern because it gave me ample time to prepare myself mentally. I stayed up the rest of the morning watching clips of previous episodes of the show just retain that process. By the time 8:00 got around, I was getting myself ready to meet the team at the school where we're set to depart from and arrive at the WJZ-13 studio on TV Hill downtown. Once we got there my heart was beating so fast that it pretty much made up it's own cadance. Once we were inside, we met the other schools that were participating. it was a very memorable experience. Even though the cheerleaders or the drumline wern't present, it still was a great turnout from our principal as well as our coaches and our alternatives Morin and Brian. We came in second place which I thought was pretty good. Overall, Each of us fought hard for this and it definitely showed in our performance.

Project 365: Day # 47 - Friday, October 21, 2011 "Just one of those days"

This was a day that I didn't have much to do academically. This was one of those days that I considered to be a relax day where it's not as stressful as the previous days. This was a great chance for me to really catch up on some of my assignments that also include my October checklist for AVID. I'm glad that this wasn't a day where I'm running all over the place trying to get everything done all at once. I even had time to practice some soccer after school. This was also a good day because I needed some rest before the taping of "It's Academic" the next morning. I sat at home watching a few jeopardy episodes once I finished my homework. This was sure to help me tomorrow. I was ready and all set for tomorrow. I had my outfit picked out to wear for Saturday. This was a day I needed.

Project 365: Day # 46 - Thursday, October 20, 2011 "This is it!"

Today after school was officially our last day of practice before the taping of "It's Academic" that commences on Saturday, October 22, 2011. I was feeling a little bit nervous only because the next time we were going to see each other would be Saturday morning at the front of the school. But we practiced long and hard until we were definitely confident and ready to compete against the other two schools Middletown High School and Broadneck High School. We answered a myriad of questions from different categories ranging from music and entertainment to Greek mythology to English Literature and so many others. We all came up with a strategy that would really benefit us in this competition would be to increase our speed. Speed was the only factor that was crucial to us since we were able to answer the questions correctly more than getting to the buzzer fast enough. I had a feeling that we were ready for Saturday. Wish us Luck! :)

Project 365: Day # 45 - Wednesday, October 19, 2011 "More schools from New York sending me letters."

I love that feeling when you check the mail box and there is a plethora of mail envelopes and brochures all with your name on it. The feeling is even better when these letters and other cool information is from the colleges that you're most interested in. I received more mail from New York Institute of Technology and St. John's University. I was happy to get more mail from these schools that are in New York City because I use this as a motivation as well as a major goal to be accepted into one of these prestigious university that New York has to offer. I love the city life and would definitely benefit from this limited experience.

Project 365: Day # 44 - Tuesday, October 18 , 2011 "Escaping from Reality"

Today I had some what of a stressful day at school. Inundated with a copious amount of homework, working on my October checklist, completing college applications, and so many other things going on academically and socially. I feel like I don't have time for anything and it's true. I don't have time for anything. I know that I am more busy than ever. But sometimes I need a time where I'm free of the madness that this month and soon this year will have in store for me. I need to escape from the real world for a bit and to think everything through and rejuvenate. Therefore the best solution for this would be classical music. I decided to dedicate my ample time that was available for me to Bach, Beethoven, Handel, Brahms, and Ravel, these of which are my most favorite composers of all time. All of their styles of music appeal to who I am and how much this music means to me. The fact that it's so placid and soothing helps me feel more relaxed and less stressed out.

Project 365: Day # 43 - Monday, October 17, 2011 "Checklist time!"

Today is when I promised myslef that I would make a dent into my October checklist. There were a myriad of tasks and assignments that needed to be completed by the end of the month of October. So far I had onlythree things that were already completed off of my list. I knew that it was obviously not enough. eventhough it was only the 17th, I took the word "only" out of the equation because during this time where everyone is in a desperate haste to get all college applications sent off, there is absolutely no time to be procrastinating. I took this into consideration and was able to knock out four more tasks off my checklist. I felt somewhat glad only because I was able to get a lot done but I also reserved time for my other homework assignments.

Project 365: Day # 40 - Friday, October 14, 2011 "If you don't have an iPhone, well you don't have an iPhone"

Yes! Today's the day! The iPhone 4s went on sale at AT&T, Verizon, and now Sprint stores. Sprint now has the iPhone as a proud member of that carrier, I was beyond excited for the iPhone's release. I looked all over the internet at the plethora of photos and videos of people wating in large ques all over the world for the realease of the iPhone 4s. As mentioned in my proevious blog regarding the new phone, this was already considered to be the #1 smartphone in the world. The phone set an astounding record of over one million dollars from preordering costumers of the three carriers in 24 hours and selling out of the product online. I was expecting that sort of outcome for many reasons. This iPhone upgrade took the biggest leap in apple from the very first iPhone in 2007 and from the iPhone 4 in 2010. I remember Steve Job's keynote on the very first iPhone where he mentions that apple is going to reinvent the phone. And from that point, it was able to live up to that standard. But as of today in the year 2011, the apple company has come a long way to develope a smart phone such as this. Therefore it has gone far beyond reinventing the phone, but reinventing the idea of a smartphone. I was told that I was getting the phone on the day it was released, but I had a feeling that it wasn't going to be today. I mean this is the iPhone we're talking about. If it sold out in less than 24 hours and making a record breaking 1 million dollars in that duration, I can imagine what it would be like trying to buy the phone in person. So I waited for the school day to be over so that my perants would get me the phone. My father called me and said that I won;t be able to get the iPhone for three days for some reason. But he showed me the recipt for it therefore I didn't think three days was that bad. But my mother came home and she wanted to know how to work her video camera on her evo but what I didn't know is that she was vidoe taping my reaction of when I found my iPhone 4s in her purse. I was lost for words. Ever since the first iPhone came out I always said "I want that phone so bad!". But now, I have what is now the best smartphone in the world. I thought I was the happiest teen ever!

Project 365: Day # 39 - Thursday, October 13, 2011 "Introducing theworld's next smartphone: No not the iPhone 5 but the iPhone 4S"

I can't believe it's finally here (well it will be tomorrow). Yes I'm talking about the new iPhone. The iPhone 4s. When my mother told me that Sprint was getting the iPhone, I went online to see if I could preorder the iPhone 4 until I saw the iPhone 4s. I then went to the apple website where I saw the keynote for the phone. This new phone was described as the biggest jump since the original iPhone in 2007 as well as the iPhone 3Gs. This phone's outside features haven't changed since its really the same as the regular iPhone 4. But there are a myriad of features that reside inside of the phone that make it so unique and amazingly attractive. Besides some of the new features, Siri, the voice assistant was the true highlight of the phone. You are able to ask Siri any question that's relevant to searching for a particular place or product. It can also provide you information on certain topics such as metrics and measurements as well as giving the birthdate of a celebrity. But overall I can't wait until this phone comes out at 8:00 am tomorrow.

Project 365: Day # 38 - Wednesday, October 12, 2011 "What a Very, veryproductive day off!"

Today, October 12, 2011 was the day of the PSAT for the 9th, 10th, and 11th graders and a day off for seniors. I longed for this day for a while. When this day came I already had a plan for what I was going to do. Other than staying at home, sleeping and plying video games all day long, I chosen to be proactive and to be very productive throughout the entire day. I was able to make a dent in my college process but I dedicated this day off to my daunting and inundation of homework that I received in the last two days.

Project 365: Day # 37 - Tuesday, October 11, 2011 "Bend it like BeckhamPart II"

Yes I decided to title this blog "Bend it like Beckham Part II" only because I've been practicing more on bending the soccer ball. I've improved significantly based on my basic technique of how Strike the ball. I've been practicing more on striking the ball with the side of my inside foot instead of the outside. Even though it's not 100%, I'm still going at it; narrowing down the mechanics of how it's done so I'm more familiar with the technique and to be able to use that in actual pick up matches. I definitely plan on playing in college and if I get lucky I might be able to go even further with it; heck you might even see me on the U.S. team for the  FIFA World Cup someday.

Project 365: Day # 36 - Monday, October 10, 2011 "The birth of abriliant Idea!"

I woke up around 5:30 in the morning and it hit me. I just came up with the bet idea for the pep rally this year. I had the idea of performing the violin. But believe me it's not to old classical music that's seems mundane and ordinary it's to hip hop. Yeah I figured this would e and excellent idea because of my personal experience with performing this genre of music on the violin. Over the summer I was on an eight community block party tour in Baltimore City where I was featured at these block parties for the benefit of the youth in the community and to support them through the importance of education and having fun concurrently. I think that this will be a huge success for our pep rally. I also believed that this will show off New Town's versatility and true character. It gives me a chance I go way beyond the ideas like making it longer and having more activities for students to participate in. I can play a range of songs from hip hop artists like Jay-Z, Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa, Lupe Fiasco and Nicki Minaj, etc.

Project 365: Day # 34 - Saturday, October 8, 2011 "One of the mostcraziest parties I've ever been to"

Today, Saturday, October 8, 2011 was my mom's birthday. Today she turned 46 years old. I was amazed because even though she kept ranting about the fact that she's getting old, she's overcame so many obstacles and has received many accolades for her meritorious efforts as a dental software trainer. But as the day began to slowly Come an end, I was gearing u for my friend Ashley's birthday party. I was filled with great zeal and felicity only because it's been a while since I've been to a party. And even though I'm not a big party person like most of my friends, I still enjoyed myself to the fullest and it helped me loosen up a little bit more. The party was a crazy one. Actually I think it's the craziest parties I've been to. But it was fun overall and was worth going to.

Project 365: Day # 35 - Sunday, October 9, 2011 "Inundated with so muchmore college letters!"

Well it still looks like these colleges are not done with me yet as I received an inundation of college letters and brochures from the schools that I'm really interested in. I was happy that I received these letters from these schools but it feels like each new letter that they send me it's enticing me more to attend their school. This makes the college process slightly tedious as well as it becoming a daunting task to decide on the schools. Right now I'm taking the time to focus less on the beauty of the campus and the extracurricular activities that are being offered at the school and focus more on the requirements of what they're expecting
as undergrad applicants. The Things that I've taken I to consideration are the SAT and ACT scores, class rank, letters of recommendation and other academic achievements that I've reached during my four years in high school. I've also taken the time to research more scholarship opportunities for these schools. I might be a tad bit overwhelmed but I see this more as a few steps closer to my future and what the great things have in store for me in the world of adulthood.

Project 365: Day # 33 - Friday, October 7, 2011 "Tough loss for the NewYork Yankees"

I had a pretty good day at school today. It was very productive. But the one thing that completely razes the great day that I had was finding out that the Yankees were out of the series. I was really disappointed but at the same time I had a some what positive outlook on the fact that the Detroit Tigers Haven't made it this far in over 55 years. Therefore I was sort of glad in a sense. But what really had me going "What the heck happened" was when I was watching the highlights. The Yankees were down by one run. It was 3-2 with the Tigers leading. It was the bottom of the ninth inning and Alex Rodrigez also known as "A-Rod" came up to the plate with my favorite player Derek Jeter on first. Unfortunately A-Rod struck out with two outs, two strikes and two balls. I couldn't believe it. But even before the game started I had a feeling that I wasn't going to be filled with such trepidation thinking that they were going to lose because of the fact that they were playing in New York. I can tell that most New Yorkers either didn't come into work today or were filled with such acrimony and frustration because of the loss based solely on A-Rod's strike out. Maybe next year. Hopefully.

Project 365: Day # 32- Thursday, October 6, 2011 "Operation Study Hall!"

Today, October 6, 2011, my AVID 12 class began the commencement of study hall and using the opportunity to get everything we need to get done finished and completed.  I was very quiet And by the looks of the scholars working, I could tell that they were very meticulous about meeting their goal to complete everything in the alotted time. Our simple assignment for the day was to come up with a list of three or more tings to get accomplished and finished by the end of the class period. Eventhough I was still feeling worse than yesterday, I still used my time wisely to get all my daunting assighments done and out the way. My three things were to make sure that all of my blogs were up to date, look up essay prompts for Columbia University via the Common App and/or College board, and to make sure that I give my sample college essay to Mr. Carney to look over and underscore it so I can redact it in the best way possible. My day was very productive. I was able to get done everything that I had on my posted note.

Project 365: Day # 31- Wednesday, October 5, 2011 "Sickness, Fear the Lion!"

Today, October 5, 2011 was not my best day. I spent the entire school day in a state of debilitation and serious pain. I woke up with a terrible soar throat with a temperature about 99.8. I was sneezing up a storm and had to blow my noise literally every five minutes. This was truly the worst six and a half hours of my life. Despite my poor condition, I was still prepared and ready to work as if I was just fine. I still was working diligently on all of my assignments and was able to finish them in the alotted time. Some people asked me "well if you ahd that kind of temperature, why would you come to school?" or said "I would've stayed home and chilled!". But my answer to that in my head was that I am a Columbian Lion. I believed in this because I knew where I wanted to go. I wanted to go to Columbia University and I wasn't goint to let sickness deter me from achieving my long life goals. Sure I had to get up from my seat every five minutes. Sure I had to go to the bathroom to get more tissues and leaving to get water because I felt dehydrated but it never stopped me from getting my work done. Aside from saying "I will Act Now!" everyday, I'm also going to render the fact that I am indeed a fearless Columbian Lion.

Roar! Lions Roar!

Project 365: Day # 30- Tuesday, October 4, 2011 "My sister's 13th Birthday and a Meritorious win for the Yankees!"

Today, October 4, 2011 was a very special day for my little sister Nyima. She's finally a teenager. I consider this day to be a huge breakthrough in her life with more to come. But she's finally 13 years old. Nyima and I have been waiting for this day for a very long time becasue of how far she's came in life and how much she's accomplished. She's a very cogent individual who performs dligently in school. She is very dextorous in the arts as far as singing and drawing. We as a family went out to dinner at the harbor that night and I happen to see that my favorite baseball team of all time, the New York Yankees were playing the Detroit Tigers in Game 4 of the AL series. despite the few errors that both teams acquired, the Yankees came out on top in the end beating the Tigers in Detroit 10-1. The first 3-5 innings were resulting low score runs of 3-1 with the Yankees leading. I thought that this was going to be a daunting game for both teams but it turn out that way in the end. Now the Yankees are tied 2-2 in the series. I went to sleep fairly easy that night. Can't wait for Game 5!

Project 365: Day # 29 - Monday, October 3, 2011 "Idea for Pep Rally"

I've been thinking about our past pep rallies over the years that I've been here at New Town high School and aside form the fact that the pep rallies need to be longer, I thought that it woudl be amazing if we did something different. I submitted an idea on the Titan Chronicle regarding the pep rally. I thought that maybe I could go out with a "Bang" my senior year. And since this is my last year, I figured I'd make it extra special by performing the violin. And yeah you're probably wondering "how in the heck is he going to play the violin at a pep rally?". And that's because I'm going to be playing the violin to hip hop. Yes I do play to the latest songs in today's hip hop as well as some old school favorites and R&B. I thought that the SGA or Mr. Mustipher should approve this idea because it gives New Town the chance to show the versatility we have to offer. It's also very different and it gives the under classmen a taste of what New Town's all about instead of going throught the same mundane routine. This gives the students a chance to really have an open mind as what we can do. And as a senior scholar of the house of Hyperion, this would be really setting the tome to what we expect as far as giving it your all and never giving up and being creative in everything you do. I just learned how to play "____ in Paris" by Jay-Z ft. Kanye West, "Black and Yellow" by Wiz Khalifa, and "Super Bass" by nicki Minaj. I truly believe that in today's era of hip hop, almost everything sounds much better with a set of strings to go with it!

Project 365: Day # 28 - Sunday, October 2, 2011 "Welcome to the Polytechnic Institute of New York University!"

Today, Sunday, October 2, 2011, I began the second part of my productive visit to the "Big Apple". Yesterday was considered to be a chill and relax kind of day. That was the day where I spent the whole time walking around Manhattan and visiting the Fulton Mall in Downtown Brooklyn. The weather was perfect, it never rained until about six o'clock that evening. I woke up on an amazing sunrise on Sunday morning. I knew that this was going to be a great day. The open house began at 11:00 am in Downtown Brooklyn on the Jay st. Campus. I had already planned out my day. I was suppose to make my way from Jersy City to Brooklyn. Because of my cerebral skills regarding the mass transit system, I knew I was going to get there before the Open House started. I had to first take the PATH from Grove st in Jersey City into Manhattan and then catch the A-Train form 34th st. to Jay st. where the school was located. I consider this to be a small but actually prodigious adventure. I arrived at NYU Poly at exactly 10:45 am. I was able to get a really good seat in one of the auditoriums in the main library on the urban campus since 10 minutes later, there were 50 people inundating the room. After the presentation regarding the school and what special programs were being offered there, we were deivided into 20 groups to go on the campus and lab tours. The tour was amazing. From the state-of-the-art Engineering and biomedical labs to the recent construction of an all glass dormatory building that's environmentally efficient and overlooks the Manhattan skyline along the East River. I was very pleased in the school and what it offers. This really narrows down my choices as far as schools and what I would like to major in. And I find it very tedious to turn down a school which was ranked #3 in the best Engineering school in the country and #4 in the most Diversed University in the country alone. NYU Poly is merged with NYU in Manhattan including Engineering majors such as Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering and so much more.

Project 365: Day # 27 - Saturday, October 1, 2011 "A Productive Journey to the Big Apple"

Today was the day that I take the journey to New York City on my own. I was very excited, filled with great felicity and zeal. I was so excited that I woke up on Saturday morning at 4:30 am. I was scheduled to leave on a bus at 6:30 am and arrive there at 9:45. I was heading up to New York for the open house at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University in Brooklyn on Sunday, October 2, 2011. I'm very interested in the school because of it's location of which inspires the school to undergo and offer a myriad of programs that deal with engineering and technology as well as the major diversity of which the school is inundated with thousands of students around the world. NYU Poly is merged with NYU of the Washington Square Campus in Manhattan therefore all students and staff at both schools use each others resources such as libraries, lecture halls, laboratories, etc. The bus ride was very comfortable and fast. There was no traffic for the majority of the trip. It took approximately three hours and 15 minutes. It's like every time we passed trough a toll booth along the way I felt more closer to my "second home" if you will. Once I arrived, the bus dropped me off at 7th Avenue and 28th Street. I pretty much knew my way around this prodigious metropolis. I knew almost every street and every subway line and where it led to. I could hear the roaring of cars, trucks, and buses rushing down 5th Avenue at high speeds. Did you know that there are over 10,000 taxis that operate everyday and that run throughout all the five boroughs? Just a little fact I thought I'd throw out there. The weather was perfect. Although it was cloudy when I arrived but it never rained while I was there. I did a lot of walking while I was there. I stayed at my cousins apartment in Jersey City, NJ which has an amazing view of Manhattan and along the Hudson River. I really enjoyed myself and couldn't wait for the open house the next morning.

Project 365: Day # 26 - Friday, September 30, 2011 "My Progress to Success"

Today, Friday, September 30, 2011, I received my first quarter interim report of my senior year. I was extremely proud of myself based on my results. I felt so accomplished and that I truly deserved the grades that I got in every one of my classes. I received a total of six A's and only two B's. Even though I knew that I did an outstanding job so far into my senior year, I knew for a fact that it wasn't over yet. Nope not for a long shot. I know that if I want to keep this up, then I'm going to have to encroach my abilities and to go the extra mile as a student who would do whatever it takes to come out on top. To be honest, I don't think I've ever had an interim report such as this before. This shows my true colors and what I'm about as far as academics. And because of this interim, this gives the teachers a sample of what I'm going to come out with next and what they'll expect at the end of the year. I'm definitely making sure that because of the progress I'm making that I will reach the apex of my success and be able to carry out these habits through out the rest of the school year and through college.
