I had a pretty good day at school today. It was very productive. But the one thing that completely razes the great day that I had was finding out that the Yankees were out of the series. I was really disappointed but at the same time I had a some what positive outlook on the fact that the Detroit Tigers Haven't made it this far in over 55 years. Therefore I was sort of glad in a sense. But what really had me going "What the heck happened" was when I was watching the highlights. The Yankees were down by one run. It was 3-2 with the Tigers leading. It was the bottom of the ninth inning and Alex Rodrigez also known as "A-Rod" came up to the plate with my favorite player Derek Jeter on first. Unfortunately A-Rod struck out with two outs, two strikes and two balls. I couldn't believe it. But even before the game started I had a feeling that I wasn't going to be filled with such trepidation thinking that they were going to lose because of the fact that they were playing in New York. I can tell that most New Yorkers either didn't come into work today or were filled with such acrimony and frustration because of the loss based solely on A-Rod's strike out. Maybe next year. Hopefully.
