Project 365: Day # 105 - Wednesday, December 21 "TABB It!"

Today we had a special guest come in to our AVID class. And her name was Lindsey. I'm not sure if I spelled her name correctly but it was a pleasure to have her here. I was somewhat surprised that she was a former student here at New Town and she also received the most meritorious award in academics. She was known as the School's valedictorian of 2008. I was proud of her based on what she did in the past and why she does now. She inspired me in her own way. Now I had the mentality of if someone was able to do it, then I know for a fact that it can be done. She talked to us about Hampton University which seems really interesting especially when she mentioned the admission opportunities of a full tide along with other benefits based on SAT scores. She also shared some general college information as far as preparing for it. And the thing about TABB is being able to determine what you'll take away from this experience and to fin out what factors are hindering that experience.
