Project 365: Day # 84 - Wednesday, November 30, 2011 "The Choice is Mine"

Today I knew I was more busy than ever before. And with that taken into consideration, I knew that I had to make a choice between staying on the track team or leaving the team in order to really focus even more on the college process and to really take the time to fill out all applications and to prepare for the ACT next Saturday. I knew that there are other important things that need to be taken care of. My school work is imperative to an extent where I can't afford any distractions. With that in mind I came up with a decision. My choice was to leave the team. I told my coach and he strongly agreed with my decision. I took this situation not as a somber moment but something great and worth while. These are the kind of sacrifices that I'm soon going to make in the future whether if it's in or outside of college. But after I left I was able to free myself from that weight where I was enjoying it, but at the same time it was limiting me in some ways. Therefore I'm glad I don't have to worry about that anymore nor do I need to deal with that kind of stress.
